The WSEHA Graduate
Student Scholarship program provides funding to help support a current
WSEHA member who desires to pursue an advanced degree that will
materially promote the practice of environmental health in
Eligibility Criteria
The
applicant must:
1.
Be accepted as a graduate student in a regionally or nationally
accredited institution of higher education in a program leading to a
masters or doctoral degree in an area related to the practice of
environmental health. An
appropriate degree need not be in a technical area, but could be in the
managerial or policy arenas. Example of acceptable programs might
include, but would not be limited to:
1)
Master of Public Health (MPH);
2)
Master of Science (MS) in a related technical discipline (e.g.,
food protection, air pollution, water and wastewater, solid waste, vector
control & housing, toxics & hazardous substances, hazardous
waste, toxicology, GIS, groundwater hydrology, etc.);
3)
Master of Business Administration or Master of Public
Administration;
4)
Doctor of Public Health (DrPH); or
5)
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) ) in a related technical discipline.

Be a current active member of WSEHA;

Demonstrate his/her intent to employ his/her acquired knowledge to
improve the practice of
environmental health in

Have submitted a completed Scholarship Application form, and be
willing to submit a photograph if awarded the scholarship; and
